HOW DOES STROLLER MATE ATTACH ON?

CRITERIA FOR STROLLER MATE TO FIT:

Strollers below will fit the Stroller Mate because they have fabric-free frames (at base of seating area) and frames are between 16mm to 24mm wide or 0.63 inch to 0.944 inch wide.

REASONS STROLLER MATE WILL NOT FIT SOME STROLLER TYPES:

  1. [Bob Revolution Stroller example] Does not fit because fabric is wrapped around the frame, where the Stroller Mate clamp would normally be attached.
  2. [Britax Preview Stroller example] Stroller Mate does not fit because front bar is non-removable.
  3. [Bugaboo Strollers example] Stroller Mate does not fit because frame is wrapped with fabric and frame is too wide for the Stroller Mate's clamps to be attached.
  4. [Peg Perego strollers example] Does not fit because there are two frames on either side of the stroller. Stroller Mate's clamps will only go around one frame (not double frames).
  5. [Bumbleride Flyer stroller example] Stroller Mate doesnot fit these strollers beacause the frame has no space for the Stroller Mate's clamps.  Also the front bar is in the way.

WHAT ABOUT UMBRELLA STYLE TWIN STROLLERS?

With twin strollers, Stroller Mate will fit on one side at a time.  Therefore you cannot fit two Stroller Mates on at once.  Stroller Mate will fit these twin umbrella style strollers:

  • Maclaren - Twin Triumph 2007 Double Stroller 
  • Chicco - Citta Twin Stroller
  • BabyPlanet - Unity Sport Lightweight Double Stroller  

WHY IS THE STROLLER MATE MADE TO ITS HEIGHT?

The Stroller Mate meets all safety regulations, even the height of the tray has been carefully designed to prevent injuries.  Regulations stipulates snack trays need to be a certain height in case the child is not strapped in properly or wriggles out of their strap and slides out.  The height of the tray allows the child's head to slide comfortably under the snack without causing injuries, therefore preventing their head getting stuck under snack tray.

WILL THE CLAMPS BE LESS STIFF THE MORE I USE THEM?

Yes, like a new stroller opening and closing will be a bit stiff to start off with.  With greater use, the clamps will be less stiff than it is at the beginning.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE STROLLER MATE OFF TO FOLD MY STROLLER?

Some parents take the tray off completely to fold their stroller, while other parents only take one clamp off.  The choice is up to you and what you believe is more easier/more convenient.

WHERE IS THE STROLLER MATE MADE IN?

Stroller Mate is made in China.  It has been designed and prototyped in Australia.  This includes the packaging and instructions manual.  If you want to give feedback on the packaging and instructions manual (or anything else), please send us an email, so we can improve things further. WHAT TESTS HAVE BEEN DONE ON STROLLER MATE?

It has been independently tested and has passed relevant US and Australian standards.
  • F833 Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Carriages & Strollers; and
  • AS/NZ 2088:2000 Prams & Strollers Safety.

Stroller Mate is also patented in various countries.
